The Delivery Specialist has a crucial role responsible for the seamless setup and delivery of equipment, supplies, and orders to our valued customers. Working closely with the Customer Experience Team to coordinate deliveries, the specialist will drive a company-owned box truck with a lift gate. Responsibilities include managing documentation, handling incoming and outgoing deliveries, and completing the assembly, pre-installation, testing, and delivery of various equipment. Additionally, the Delivery Specialist will collaborate with the Reproduction Team to efficiently deliver reproduction jobs. This role is pivotal to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery process and provide exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities
• Print sales orders and all required paperwork to tag units for setup and delivery.
• Assemble various types, models, and brands of copiers and wide-format units.
• Pre-install new equipment by removing packing materials and installing accessories as indicated on the configuration sheet.
• Quality test new equipment.
• Work closely with the Customer Experience Team when equipment is set up and ready for delivery.
• Load and unload equipment into the TPM delivery truck for delivery to TPM customers.
• Deliver equipment via a 16' box truck to TPM customers in North and South Carolina, which may include overnight stays.
• Manage inventory of all equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Keep the warehouse neat and organized, including discarding pallets, boxes, and trash.
• Receive and stock warehouse levels of paper and supplies.
• Receive equipment and paper via truck loads at loading docks, using a pallet jack and driving a forklift.
• Document and tag all incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Assist field service technicians on service calls in the field.
• Check Post Office Box and run check deposits to the bank as part of delivery duties.
• Customer delivery for Repro jobs and supplies as part of duties.
• Attend vendor training on all products that TPM services and stay up to date on all assigned learning.
• Work with other technicians to learn network break-fix skills.
• Maintain performance to help achieve the DPS overall metric targets.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
• General education and/or vocational training preferred but not required.
• Prior warehousing experience is required.
• Logistics skills in warehousing, tracking, and delivering are preferred.
• Basic understanding of network environments and essential computer skills are required.
• Superior customer relations, communication, and customer satisfaction skills are required.
• Ability to work under stress, prioritize, and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds and frequently use a hand truck or other lifting equipment for up to 300-pound office equipment and machines, including navigating stairs as necessary.
• With appropriate training, operate a forklift, pallet jacks, stair-climbing hand trucks, and other devices.
• Ability to use cutting tools to unbox equipment and cordless power tools.
• Ability to complete in-person, remote, and on-demand training content, and pass certification testing.
• Willingness to travel in and out of TPM's normal territory.
